Early Decision vs. Regular

I know that Early Decision usually has higher admission rates, but since there are more competitive students applying for ED, would that hurt my chances instead of help? I'm thinking about doing ED for NYU Stern, and I feel like my GPA is lower than the average for stern

Early decision helps, but not as much as the acceptance rates make it out to be. By committing early decision, it shows the school that you are committed to it and are certain that you want to attend. Answer mine on EC’s?

Two very important questions: How much can you raise your GPA with the extra semester? Do you need to compare financial aid offers?

@"Erin’s Dad"‌ I don’t think my gpa would change much the extra semester, and no I don’t think i’ll be comparing financial aid offers. Do you think you could see my stats (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1664974-chances-for-nyu-stern-vs-cas.html#latest</a>) and chance me for stern ED?
