Early Decision Wake Forest

My Son submitted his ED application to Wake Forest for class of 2018 in mid June. Wondering if anyone who submitted an application in June had gotten notification yet?

I did, and no I have not either! You should get a notification within 4-6 weeks and it will be through snail mail. Are you in state or out of state? In-state may get their answers faster because of the snail mail deal. Since he applied earlier, he will most likely get an answer closer to the 4 week zone. Don’t worry! It’s all a waiting game from here. Mind telling me his stats?

In Alabama. He has unweighted 3.94, 31 act. ECs include volunteer work with kids groups. NHS, Mu Alpha Theta, German honor society, Youth Leadership, lacrosse team. Wants to major in Chemistry. How about you?

From NC, unweighted gpa of 3.92, not sending in my 30 ACT or SAT. ECs vary from several varsity sports, NHS, study abroad, and various other community service clubs. I want to major in Political Science. Will you PM me or comment when he gets a notification? I’d love to know! I’ll do the same as well. Good luck to him!!

What were your suns stats?

sons***

oops!

I applied on June 18th and still haven’t heard back yet.
It has been just over 4 weeks, so I am anxiously waiting.
What makes it worse is that I am an American Citizen living overseas so I don’t know if the letter will come through the mail or email. This makes my heart flutter every time I open my mail box or my email.
Let me know if any of you hear! Good luck and go deacs!

My sister just applied ED on 7/15. Have either of you heard yet? She is curious how many weeks it took.

My son is still waiting! Checking mail daily- just passed the four week mark. Hope to get good news soon. Good luck to your sister.

Good luck to your son! Will you please post when he finds out news? Thanks!

5 week mark for my sister – still nothing. Fingers crossed.

I got the acceptance letter today in the mail! I had everything in on June 18th and the letter was dated July 29th. This means you guys will probably hear soon! Good luck!

Congratulations! Great news. My fingers are crossed he hears something today.

Crazy question- what type of envelope was your letter in?

It was big black envelope! It has Welcome To Wake Forest on the front! Good luck!

@Elthorn can we hear your stats? Congrats!!

Hi Rgtmom and jcdeac…have you heard yet? It doesn’t seem like they update the application website.

I’m sorry if this is a stupid question… But does Wake Forest respond to Early Decision applications that early? Financial aid, and all?

From what it says on their website you should not apply early decision if you need a certain amount of aid because if you are accepted it is binding. They recommend applying regular decision if you need to know the aid numbers before committing.

Rgtmom and wfuwannabe - Did you ever hear from Wake? It has been six weeks and one day and sister has not heard yet!
