early decision?

I'm a rising senior and cornell is my top "reach" school. I don't know if I have any chance because my sat score isn't that great and I haven't really done anything amazing, but here are some details:

SAT score: 2080
Math: 740
Reading: 650
Writing: 690

Class Rank: 5/239
Weighted GPA: 4.017

Secretary of World Language Honor Society
Treasurer of Tri-M Music Honor Society
Member of Class Executive Board

Girls State
Varsity Tennis
Participated in the Western Regional Band for 3 years
Founded Ultimate Frisbee Club at school
Math Team

Columbia Book Award
Trinity College Book Award
Medalist at State Science Fair (Pfizer Award)

Volunteered at a Health Center
Volunteered for a Summer Program (children ages 4/5)
Volunteered at Town Library

job: I teach young children (age 4-6) at a learning center

I took three AP classes this year: AP language, AP Calc BC, and AP US History
The scores aren't out yet

I'm taking three next year: AP Lit, AP Chem, AP Statistics

I took the Math 2 and Chem Sat II subjet test but I don't have the scores yet. I think I did well on the Math (750+)

Should I even apply to Cornell for early decision? Thank you!

Getting your SATs higher would be good. EC’s look solid; the volunteer work looks outstanding to me. AP statistics is a great class to take to raise your chances to being admitted, but I am not sure about applying for ED. Applying in Regular decision would be better, but let’s wait for some other responses.

Hope this helps

really depends on which college within university; what is needed for difference colleges is quite different. For example, applicants for engineering really must have SAT 700 or above in math, but this is not the case for CALS or Arts and sciences for humanity focused applicants, or for CALS. THe interviews are crucial for Hotel school, but not even used for most colleges in cornell.
