I just wanted to know if the statistics for students accepted through early decision were different than those who applied regular decision.</p>

<p>In talking with the VT admissions officers, their answer to that question is that the acceptance rate is somewhat higher for those applying ED, but part (most?) of the reason for that is that the ED applicants tend to have stronger stats (i.e., it’s a smaller pool than the larger, more varied pool that applies Regular Decision).</p>
