Early Decision

If school A has an ED deadline of Nov 15 and school B has a second ED deadline of Jan 1, am I allowed to apply ED to school B if I am not accepted from school A's ED?

You may submit ED2 after you know you did not get accepted in ED1.

Am I allowed to submit ED2 at the same school if I don’t get accepted into their ED1? Or is that something that I should ask the school?

I doubt any school allows an ED1 rejected student to re-apply under ED2. That would be chaos.

If your ED1 application is deferred the school will typically put you in the RD pool. Some schools give you an option of being considered in the ED2 pool, but if you are offered and choose that option you cannot apply elsewhere ED2.

What is the point to reply to the school you have been rejected? You cannot apply RD to the school you rejected ED either.

Billcsho, like happy1 said, I know some schools will consider you in RD if you are not accepted from the ED pool.

@mango2015‌ No. They can defer you which means your application automatically becomes a regular decision application if they haven’t made a decision yet, for example if they want to see 7th semester grades. You don’t apply RD after getting rejected ED to a school- you can’t. A defer is not the same thing as a rejection.

Yeah that’s what I was getting at, I just didn’t word it correctly I guess.
