<p>Lemon is right, there is no rolling admission at Amherst, so your decision time would still be the same.</p>
<p>I doubt it would give you a psychological advantage with the admin people either. Something like "wow He/she turned their stuff in early so they MUST want to come". Probably not. But hey, if you can get it done, go for it</p>
<p>D didn't apply ED, but she applied just minutes before the deadline RD. She received an Early Write. Others who applied earlier were accepted, some EW, some regular, and others rejected. No matter when you send it in, it is the app that must carry its weight. Work on those essays - they truly are critical!</p>
