Early Decision

I am thinking of applying to ED for Wash U, but I'm a little worried because we have to send in first marking period grades. After the 6 weeks, I have a C+ in AP French and AP Physics (mostly because of the fact that we haven't had many assignments/tests yet), but I do have an A in AP European History, AP Eng Lit, and AP Calculus BC. My trend over the last 3 years has pretty much been straight A's, and I've taken the most challenging courses offered at my school (9 AP classes by the time I graduate). My weighted GPA is 4.8 and I'm class rank 8/450. I'm in NHS and National French Honor Society, I've contributed 366 hours of volunteering to the Denver Zoo, I'm co-president of French Club, I'm in a symphony youth orchestra, and I volunteer with my youth group (i.e. mission trip to Louisiana). Do you think it would be better to apply ED or RD, and do you think I will get in?

you'll get in, it might help if you send in a little letter explaining the situation with the two classes...2 c's won't kill you, especially since ur applying ED...WU likes that

and if u don't get in, the worst that'll happen is they'll defer you to the RD round which will make u a stronger candidate then cause u've shown interest before by applying ED
