Early decision?

Do you think applying early decision would help me out to get into USC or would it be better to do well in 1st semester of Senior year to raise my GPA and then send in my midyear reports?

Also, after applying to USC, if you really aren't qualified to enter film school (which is where I'm applying), but you are qualified to get into other majors, would that hurt your chances? Is it better to try to do an easier major as your first choice?

USC doesn't have early decision.
Are you Ping Chu from Plano Sr.?

USC doesn't have early decision/action. You apply by the standard deadline. If your junior years grades are good enough, you will get in around the start of February. If not, you better have good 1st semester grades so they will let you in the second round of acceptances.

I don't know about your second question.

from what i have read in past posts, if you dont get into your school of choice, the film school in your case, you get considered for the college of arts, letters, and sciences. im not 100% sure but i think that is what happens

nope i'm not the ping chu from plano sr.

Thanks alot for your replies.

If you aren't admitted to your first choice major, you are considered for your second choice major. If you aren't admitted to your second choice major, you are considered as an undecided.

USC has no early decision program but rather has a scholarship deadline where if you apply by a certain date you are eligible for merit scholarship consideration.

put film as your first choice...if you don't get in, then at least you have your second to hopefully fall back on, and you can apply again to the film school for your junior year
