Early Decision!!!

Ok, here's my update. I spoke with an admission counselor and he told me that the person who said I had everything in and accounted for was "misinformed". He said that they were still missing my official high school transcript from my 9th grade school.....Since time is really running short they have to view the app. as is

It is a very long story so I'll try to shorten it: in october I called my 9th grade school and requested and official transcript, but they said they sent everything with my name on it to my current school. My current school said that they would send out both transcripts (which they did) but Emory only accepted the one that came from my current school, and said my other was unofficial (which I can understand why). After i explained the situation, I asked if my current school could send in what ever they have (again) but this time with a approval seal on it, Emory said they would accept it so I did ( 3 weeks ago). But they are saying it has yet to arrive. At this point I dont care the details of how they decide to view it, just as long as it gets viewed I will be happy.

..... The strangest part of the conversation was when he said that they are mailing decisions on the 15th but they wont be availible online until the 16th... I think they said the same thing last year, but they were posted on the 15th anyway. Has anyone else been told this by an counselor?

yea, they mail decisions a day earlier. I remember CCers trying to go online on the 15th, and didnt' see any decisions.

I just called the admissions office and they said that the decisions would be available Saturday morning (the 15th) at 8:00 EST.

Or in other words, 12:01 AM on the 15th (hopefully!)
3 more days guys!!! Is it me or is this week going by slower than ever?

where do we view our decision on opus?

I'm pretty sure you click on the "admissions" link on the main page, & when the decisions are up there will be a link to click that will let you view them!

yeah i got that email too, but i called and they just asked me to fax the signature page which is my 2nd time sending it, i got an email from someone from admissions and they told me that they were going to review my application yesterday afternoon, AHH i just wish they'd tell me, only 2 more days, GOOD LUCK everyone!!!!!

As it turns out, only ED people should have gotten the e-mail....weird, nevertheless....

Um, so what if we didn't get it and we're ED? Is that a potential problem?

no I don't think so, I didn't get it either. I think what rodney means is that only ED people who had a potential problem should have gotten it, not that all people applying ED should get it. (if there was confusion in that?)

Woooo, 2 days you guys!!

that's right super18blue......you should only have gotten it if you were ED AND had something missing, (like the hard copy of the signature page)...some of the people who applied RD AND Emory Scholars got it by mistake....BTW Good Luck to everyone on Saturday!!!!!

Just got an e-mail from Emory stating that decisions will be posted up on Sat., 12-15 at 7 am. Good luck to everyone.

I just got the same e-mail and would like to note that it says Saturday BY 7 am =) ohhh boy, I hope I can get some sleep!

Was it an automatic email? If so, I haven't gotten an email yet.

Mika...you probably will get it tonight or soon thereafter. Interesting that they pick 7am...

MBJ: is your S an EmorySProgram Nom. and/or an ED applicant?

Hi noelle. Yes my S applied via ED I and also for the ESP..

Taking noelle's advice, so here we go
two more dayss

"Decisions will be mailed Friday, December 14, 2007, via U.S. Postal Service. Additionally, we are excited to announce that we will be releasing decisions online, via the OPUS system. Decisions will be posted by 7:00 am on Saturday, December 15. Please note that decisions will be available to view online until January 4."
