so guys,
i was just wondering how many people are going to apply early.
i want to apply for early decision but i dont know how much it would increase my chances if everyone else is doing it.

My son did it last year and we believe it was a significant factor in his acceptance. That said, past results are no guarantee of future performance but, if you’re sure Cal Poly is for you, do it.

If Cal Poly is your first choice, then definitely do early decision. Things are going to be more competitive this year, with the budget cuts and all, so showing your serious about Cal Poly by applying early will increase your chances. Even if you don’t get in early decision, you’ll still be considered for regular admission. I am a freshman here this year from out of state. Cal Poly is an amazing school. The mountains surrounding the campus are breath taking. The beach is only ten minutes away. The town of Slo is a nice college town. And the dorms are nice too.

When you say early, do you mean early decision or just submitting app early in general?

early decision; as in its binding .
