<p>does anyone know what the breakdown of early decision results seem to be. i.e. do they defer most of the people they don’t accept? how many do they reject… and everything. </p>

<p>i’m thinking of applying to penn early, but i dont want to be rejected before i finish my senior fall term, where i plan to really raise my grades. it would be nice if they deferred most early applicants.</p>

<p>off the top of my head... of the ivies, i think penn's somewhere in the middle
harvard/yale (as EA) defer nearly everyone; it's much rarer to see a rejection
columbia rejects a much higher # of ppl for ED</p>

<p>i would say penn does defer most applicants. but hey, who knows, you might not have to worry about it =)</p>
