Early Decision

What are the chances are my daughter being admitted Early Decision? Her stats are:

White female from Roanoke, VA
SAT's: CR 640, Math 660
SAT II: Math II 680, US History 750
ACT: 34, Essay 9
AP: APUSH 4, ENG LANG/COMP 4, CALCULUS AB 5, WORLD HISTORY 4

She will be taking the SAT's again in October.

Thanks!

What program is she applying for?

Her ACT is very good, and unless VT changes their admission criteria, I would say don’t worry about retaking the SAT because they will take the highest score and with a 34 ACT she would have to increase by a major amount on the SAT to overcome that score.

Additionally if she takes it in October, I don’t think the scores would be available for the ED admission review.

Good luck. Even if she doesn’t get ED, with the amount of APs under her belt and the high ACT I think she is a lock for RD!

She’s in, dont even bother with the SAT score, just send the ACT

I’d still take the SAT again as long as the tests don’t stress her out or anything, but only because there could be some weird scholarships out there that don’t take ACT. Her ACT is phenomenal though, and will easily get her in if her GPA is similarly high.
