On Pomona's site, for ED, it says:
" Students admitted under Early Decision are expected to withdraw all other college applications and to initiate no new ones."

Does this mean that after I've submitted my ED application to Pomona, but haven't been accepted or rejected yet, I can still apply to other schools? I thought you couldn't apply to other schools until you were rejected (obviously you wouldnt apply to any others if you were accepted).

hey i’m pretty sure you can apply to other schools but once you get in to pomona then you have to withdraw them. i beleive the only exception is if the financial aid isn’t enough and you can’t afford to end up going to pomona.

You may apply to other schools while waiting for your ED notification, but if you are accepted (and there are no finaid problems), you are expected to withdraw those applications. If you want to save on application fees, I recommend you fill out your other applications before your ED decision but wait to send them in. No sense wasting money.

one suggestion … my oldest applied ED to one school … and prepared her other applications in case she was rejected from her ED school … but did not submit the applications before hearing from her ED school … this saved us almost $1000 in application fees!

This is such good news for me, you have nooo i-frickin-dea! I’m not especially worried about fees because I can’t afford them anyways, so i’ll be using a fee-waiver. IMSOFREAKIN’EXCITED!
