Early decision

If I apply ED for business but i don’t get accepted, can i still apply regular and change my major?

I’m pretty sure that if you apply early decision and don’t get accepted, your application is automatically considered for regular decision admission (you don’t get to re-apply). So I don’t think you can change your major either. However, if you wanna change your major, just start taking classes as soon as you can for the major you wanna switch into.

okay thanks, cause i’m pretty sure i’m not getting into business even if i do ED and so reverting back to regular won’t help. i was hoping to be able to switch to food science so i could switch to nutrition later.

Wow! Business to Food Science to Nutrition? That sounds like a roundabout way to get there. Good luck to you. None of these majors are easy. Try to pick the one you really want to study.

Actually, if you don’t get accepted as Business ED, you can email the admission office to change your pick of major.

For Fall 2010, I applied for Biology early decision. I was rejected. So I emailed them to change my major to food science. I was accepted.

Now, halfway into the quarter, I’m realizing that I am def NOT science lab type of person. So now, I’m in the process of changing into business. I’m going to a workshop/info meeting on the next step of the process.

Feel free to msg me any questions about applying or food science in general. Be prepared for a lot of chemistry.

alright thanks a lot socal. if you dont mind me asking, what were your stats when you applied?
