Early Evaluation

Yippee!!! Likely!

@ PickUpSticks
I sent in extra materials in order for them to understand me. It’ll help you nonetheless and they do highly consider it. I sent in an extra rec and a letter to update what I’m doing currently (research opportunity, Science Olympiad awards, etc.).

Congratulation everyone! I’m a possible…any idea what that could mean? Eek.

Please remove the spaces before you post. Congratulations everyone!!!

Also, check out the Wellesley Class of 2014 facebook page to see current pictures and discussions…

I got possible too =S

Likely here too! =)

Daughter just got likely. Very nice day out here in CA.

so…likelies are 100% accepted right?? that’s what i’ve heard…

Yeah, that’s what I’m wondering about as well…or else I just went overboard and announced that I am quite possibly in at Wellesley. :S

Likely! Good day. My team demolished our #1 rivals in Quiz Bowl, and now I come home to this!

Congratulations to everyone!

i have already told ppl that i got in.
i don’t think they would invite us to SOC if we were to be rejected in march! haha so i think it’s safe to say that–unless something strange happens–that likelies are accepted students :)

i got a possibly, too =\ any ideas how to possibly change their mind to a yes? :)

I’ve heard that sending some additional recommendations might help.

amanda630, I think the email said 25% of possiblies are eventually accepted :)

You can send in extra recommendations or updates to your application (perhaps your grades for the second semester or trimester came out, or you won an award, etc). Admissions will review what you send them, but I also wouldn’t go overboard with it.

Likely! I am so excited. Wellesley is by the far the most beautiful campus I have seen!

Possible.

Question: Wellesley said on their website that they could only consider SAT scores taken before December for EE. I, however, took it again in January (other schools I applied to consider January scores) and my score was raised from an 1890 to a 2020. (It’s not a significant increase, I know, but hey.) Should I call the admissions office and informally report this to them and hope that they’ll take it into consideration?

Also, I sent a link to Wellesley, as part of my art supplement, to my school website that contains all the issues of the school newspaper. I’m the Editor-in-Chief, News Editor and Design Editor (and I basically handle every other miscellaneous thing). I’m not sure if the admissions officers took a look at it as the link needed copying and pasting to access. Should I send them some actual, tangible issues to consider?

Likely!! Woohoo!

Wow. This is huge. This is one of my top choices. I am super excited!!
Apparently, “Likely” means you’re guaranteed acceptance unless you do horrible in you midyears, or you commit a felony lol.

How many of you had Wellesley as your first choice? Did you apply anywhere else?

Yes, definitely do this.

I would call admissions and see what they say about things like this. It might be easier for everyone if you send it over in paper form that way they can put in your file with the rest of your application materials.

LIKELY!! I love wellesley<3
