these are just the most important ones. i have many more extra-cirriculars

So im just afraid that having only 3 years of High School might hurt me during the adm. process. not to mention my average sat scores and B's in a couple classes.

also im pondering whether or not i should include my Gifted and Talented Identification Test Report with my application as a supplement since it says that im creative or watnot.

But overall the biggest, most noticable difference about my Application will be my Early Graduation. any thoughts or input about this and my chances will be greatly appreciated. thanks

I think unless you are EXCEPTIONAL they wont admit you. And I dont just mean at your high school. EXCEPTIONAL within Rice's applicant pool (which means you could get into HYPSM).

I'd say the chances are tough. Being from Houston will make it very hard, but I'm not sure how being a 3 yr grad will affect your chances.

You will really need to do something to stand out. There are many, many asians from Houston with good stats who will apply.

Why are you graduating early? I think the reason will determine the effect that spending only 3 years in high school has on your admission.

Consider staying in HS for a fourth year and take as many AP or HCC classes as you can so you will enter college w/ sophomore or junior level standing. Assuming you ace your courses, it will make you a stronger applicant and you will probably be offered more scholarship money as well.

Another thing to consider is that a year of college credits earned in HS is a lot cheaper than a year of credits taken in college. The cost per credit hour at HCC is ~$50 per hour vs ~$1000 per hour at Rice (tuition only).

Either way, it will still take you 7 years to complete HS and college.

BTW, what HS in Houston has 1000 students in its graduating class?

A lot of high schools in Houston have 1000+ in a graduating class. Ninth, tenth, and eleventh grade at my school have about 1000 people for each class.
