<p>Would it be very unwise to ask the advice of, say, the Harvard admissions office on this situation? Would I be tracked down and blacklisted from admission to Harvard permanently? Is it a reasonable question to ask? If I do ask, I will present them with two scenarios and ask which candidate would be preferred.</p>
