Early Graduation vs Duall Enrollment?

I strongly dislike high school- I’m stuck with a bunch of immature kids and I honestly don’t want to put up with 4 years of this. Would it look better to colleges to do full time Dual Enrollment (Running Start in WA), or AP and Honors and graduate high school a year early? Which is more practical/beneficial? Thank you!

My daughter is doing Running Start at a community college for almost all her senior schedule. She has enjoyed the school setting and the freedom of setting her own class schedule. We had to pay for the college credits and textbooks. She also needed to drive to get to classes, instead of the short walk to our local high school.

Her dual credits SHOULD transfer to the college she will be attending in the fall, but it is not as certain as if she passed AP exams.

In our state (Hawaii), the Department of Education makes it almost impossible to graduate early. I don’t know the rules in Washington.

Good luck & aloha.

Doing college courses while still technically a high school student can allow you to explore subjects that are not normally available in high school (e.g. philosophy, geology, sociology, anthropology), so that you can get more of an idea of what you want to study in college before you are “on the clock” to choose a major.

In contrast, graduating high school and starting college as an actual college student early may have the opposite effect.
