I am currently in 9th grade at Pennsylvania Virtual Charter School, My school offers early graduation and I am currently working through my application. There are many reasons for wanting to graduate early but some of them are because in 4th grade i was held back for playing in class and I didn’t know the importance of education and school work as much as I do now and I feel as though I am a year behind my academic level and even when i was retained I always did more work than i should have. I want to make it clear that i was not held back for not understanding the work because i did understand it, I was just being too much of a class clown to work hard on the tests and I honestly regret it. I have enough credits now and I meet all of the requirements to graduate early. Another reason I want to graduate early is because I feel like i need to be Academically challenged with harder course work and also I feel like I want to challenge myself with harder assignments. My school does offer Honors classes and i don’t want them to deny my application to graduate early and put me in Honors classes.I would love to get assigned some honors classes while still graduating early but I am very Mature and Responsible for my age and I feel as though I need to be pushed past my limits. I am not as concerned about Prom all I am really concerned about is Graduating and getting my Diploma and that’s what matters most to me. I want to apply for Columbia University In NewYork and IUP in Indiana,Pennsylvania. Those are my top colleges as of now and I am still looking into more. What do colleges think about home schooled students and also Early High school graduates? How do they look over their applications and what do you think about my decision to graduate early?
