Early Myth?

I have heard that even though USC says they do not have any early program for admission that it's basicly rolling. The sooner you give in your application the sooner you find out and you also have a higher chance of being accepted. Is this true or just a myth?

I don't really know at all, but I personally think there is little, if any, truth to that.

the people who find out the soonest are the people they want the most: the really bright people who they offer scholarships etc to.

Please share with us where you heard that.

(It's not true.)

Well, when they mail out decisions, they release them in "waves" over a period of a few weeks, with rejections coming last. I remember last spring a lot of us were starting to get frantic as we heard more and more people were hearing back...

if you heard it from someone who heard it from someone, it's definitely not true.

I sent in my application a few days before it was due and was one of the FIRST people to receive an acceptance letter... as compared to a few of my friends who sent in the application early, they dreadfully awaited for their letter wayyyyyy after i got mine.

This is definitely not true. I applied the day before the application was due (a few hours before the latest possible time), and I was also one of the first few to get an acceptance. I got an interview for the Presidential Scholarship (which I got). So it's definitely not rolling initially. Maybe later in the process they just look at the applications as they go through them.
