Early Notification vs. Regular Decision

Yeah, I found out G.P.Burdeell

From [Georgia Institute of Technology :: Undergraduate Admission :: Freshman Application Review Process](http://www.admiss.gatech.edu/freshman/)

We recalculate your high school GPA. We use a standard 4.0 grading scale, but only factor in the core curriculum courses (see below). For students taking AP, IB, or College level classes, we award an additional one-half point (0.5) for each course.

Core Curriculum:
English (4 Units)
Math (4 Units)
Science (3 Units)
Social Science (3 Units)
Foreign Language (2 Units)

Grading Scale:
A = 4.0
B = 3.0
C = 2.0
D = 1.0
F = 0.0

Example: If you take AP English and make a B, we would award you 3.5 pts

Regarding electing only those with UGA degees. Both Jimmy Carter and Sam Nunn attended Tech, not UGA. And Nunn’s law degree is from Emory.

It’s been over 35 years since either of them were first elected to office. Tech and Georgia have changed since then.

In Georgia, and particularly in Atlanta, you get a clash of native Southerners / Georgians and the “invading” or “transplanted” Northerners and Chicagoans who move to Atlanta for the low cost of living and relatively abundant jobs. As a result, I think many Georgians view Atlanta, and by extension Georgia Tech, as not being part of “the South”.

ATL not part of the South? ATL IS the South lol.

Go to Savannah and make that statement. I bet you’ll get an interesting response.
