Early or Regular admission?

Hello everybody,

Can someone tell me please what is the difference between applying early action or early decision, and applying regular admission? And what are the benefits of each one? (I am an international student in the 12th grade, and I am preparing for SAT and TOEFL)

Thank you,

early! you get a better chance of getting into the college you desire!

^ Usually this is not the case.

Early action means you submit your action early and hear back early.

Early decision is the same as early action but if you get in you have to go as it is binding.

Regular decision you don’t have to apply till later and if you get in you don’t have to go.

Most people apply regular decision but it is wise to apply early to top choice school. The school will either offer early action or early decision so you will not get to choose the one you apply.

No matter what people tell you it is easier to get in early.

Unless the offer doesn’t include enough financial aid (if requested).

At some schools.

^ and depends on your credential.
