Hi everyone,
I was hoping if anyone could help me out with understanding Pharmacy Applications.
As a high school senior, I pretty much will have all the prerequisites completed before entering college, thanks to over 10 AP Classes. I only have to take Organic Chem classes and three others which I can easily complete in one year. So am I allowed to apply early to the Pharmacy School as long as I have the prereqs done? (In one year rather than two) I also am planning to do summer session 2012 to make sure I have everything done and organized. Thanks any feedback would be appreciated. :D

Probably… the only thing I’m not sure of is if you need a certain amount of credit hours… it doesn’t specify on the page. You’ll also need to take the PCAT and I’d suggest you try and get some volunteer experience because you need 2 letters of rec. The prefer one from a professor and one from a pharmacist. There are only 300 students admitted per year, out of over 1000 applications which will increase every year. You need to make yourself as competitive as possible. Your AP classes will not count towards your Science gpa so work hard as you can to get your remaining pre-reqs to be near a 4.0.

Good point. I probably do need the extra year for experience. I just hope I can find classes to fill up the extra year. Maybe towards another degree. Thanks.
