Early Planning: The UC's

I'm currently a sophomore at a relatively unknown college. (Woodbury University)
I messed up early on in high school and that has set me back from
my dreams of a prestigious school. But it's too late to gawk about
the past and time to start thinking of my future.

I'm currently Double majoring in Graphic Design and Marketing.
Although my school is small it just recently became accredited by
NASAD (top national art and design accreditation) and we are highly
expected to pick up the AACSB next year (top business)

So far my GPA is 3.85

My dream MBA programs are UCLA (anderson) and UCB (Haas), second
to that would be UCI and UCD.

I am wondering what I have to start doing now to get into these top graduate programs?

Is it pointless from the school I'm at? or the majors I'm in?

Should I be looking right now to switch schools?

Any constructive advice anyone could give me would be deeply appreciated!

Get a full-time job after you graduate from college. Make sure the college is nationally or regionally accredited before you finish the degree.

Getting a good gpa is the best thing you can do right now. If you have time start an online business that will design logos for webpages or something.

You're in a great position to do all the things now that will help you get into a top business school in five years. BusinessWeek is now doing a series of articles on what to do now to get into a top MBA program in a few years. Check it out here:

Thanks Stingy, that whole website is really helpful.
About starting my own business, because I'm planning
to start web designing after this next semester-
Would that knock off any years of work experience?
Or would it just be a bonus to get into my top choice? (UCB)
