my guidance counselor told me he received an email from College Board that says something along the lines of 'because there is a significant decrease in endowment funds, College Board recommends schools to release their decisions a lot earlier. a recommended date is February 15th.'
he also told me that schools on the College Board, like Cornell, listen to the College Board whenever they make decisions like these, so do you guys think this will actually happen-should we be expecting decisions by the end of February?

No, because the Ivy League application decision release date is across all 8 schools, and it’s either March 30 or April 1. The contract colleges at Cornell have rolling admissions (CALS, ILR, CHE), but for very few individuals. The vast majority still receive their admission decision on the Ivy-wide date.
