I am applying early action to Georgetown, Notre Dame, UNC-Chapel Hill, and Tulane University. I have a 3.3 GPA at the top school in New Orleans and that's because of a great junior year of a 3.85 with hard classes. I currently have 3 A's, a high B+, and a pass at the top school in Houston. I have a great essay about my experience form Hurrican Katrina and great recs. I also have great summer jobs at Tulane Medical School where I was contributed as an author on a published medical research paper.

My SAT scores: 700CR/770M/640W
SATII: 680BIO/760MATHI

I am applying for a major in Biology and Pre-Med. I am very good at the guitar and the arts. I've also tutored under priveliged New Orleans public school kids. Before Katrina I was about midway through a project for the Young Epidemiologist Scholarship Competition. So what are my chances?

PS. Regular, I'm appying to UVA, Hopkins, WashU, USC, Michigan, and maybe UPenn. Any thoughts?

I think you have a good chance at USC. Generally you wouldn't be able to get into UNC, but your SAT Is aren't bad, and your essay may help you. UNC traditionally looks for interesting people. Note your Bio SAT II score is a little low for a biology major. That could hurt you.

i don't understand why you're worrying, if you're gonna get in they'll accept you...doesn't hurt to try...plus u got some good stuff there, so its not like you don't have a chance. anyways i'm indian too...also not the typical indian...o and i agree with tsdad...u might wanna retake the bio sat if your gonna major in bio...
