Did anyone receive information on perhaps an admitted students website or Facebook? I definitely plan on visiting again and staying overnight to see how I might fit into the community at Williams, but it’d be great if I could talk to other admitted students/current students before then.

Hopefully I’ll meet some of you in the future!

I had no idea ‘Early-Writes’ existed either, I was shocked when I got one in the mail yesterday (I live in Chicago)! I’m hispanic, Rank: 18/410, ACT: 27 (E: 26 M:32 R: 27 S: 28 Wr:11) (super-scored), SAT II’s Math 2: 750, Bio. E: 660, UW GPA: 4.14, W GPA: about 3.7, some science research, some classes at local CC, essays were ok. I’d say good EC’s.

Do they send Early Writes to internationals ??

Just got mine in Canada!
Dated March 6th.

Just got an email from admissions saying I was admitted!!! Ahhh, I’m so happy right now!

@Kgoodwin18 - Congratulations

I was wondering if Williams College sends early writes to internationals in Asia?

Did anybody in CA get one?

Just curious, how big of an effect do essays have for Williams compared to SAT scores and GPA?

I would imagine that essays hold slightly more weight than number stats in lacs than other universities but idk. That’s the impression I’ve gotten in my high schools past, but I don’t think it would always hold true.

So apparently the email was a follow-up to the Early Write because I FINALLY got it. My school was holding it (I go to a boarding school) and since we had just come off of spring break, I had to wait a week before I could finally touch it!

Has anyone received early write letters from Williams for regular decision class of 2017?

From what I can tell, for the last couple of years, Wednesday of the first full week in March is when early write letters were first received by ED applicants who lived in Mass (which would be today). Anyone receive one yet?? Anyone?

DC just received one in the mail. Does anyone know how many early writes Williams issues typically?

@Alden: was the early write letter received via email or snail mail? If snail mail, what is your geographic location?

Also, maybe someone can create a new thread for this year??? :)

Snail mail in a state in the mid-Atlantic area.

Accepted into Williams!!! My letter came by snail mail. I’m in Eastern PA.

Thank you. It is nice to know the letters are going out. I hope one comes this way.
