Got mine today in FL!!! I’ll follow lalaland in giving you some stats in case you’re still speculating on whether or not it’s coming. SAT 2360, took harder classes than my school offers, 2 780s on SAT IIs, several leadership positions in EC activities. Good luck to everyone!!! Even if you don’t get the early write, don’t lose hope! Still can’t believe it happened - it’s an honor and a relief. As for guys who received emails, I still haven’t received one, so there must be a delay (or they want you to receive the paper version first).

Received mine today from the Midwest! Postmarked 3/5/13.

I am going to have a great weekend.
Congrats to others who received the letter today.
I was shocked to see a pen written comment on the letter regarding my essay. THANK YOU !!!

Sounds like they mailed them out so they would all be received today.

Was so surprised to get this in the mail today. At first, I thought Williams was just resending me brochures and was like, “dude, I already applied, you don’t have to convince me more.” When I saw the purple congratulations sticker, I was even more confused because I knew the notification date was around 4/1. So, it only really sunk in when I read the congratulations letter. The handwritten note at the bottom commenting on my essay? So sweet! I found out earlier in the day about Wash U (admitted to College of Arts and Sciences!), but this was even more exciting and unexpected.
I am so happy to have gotten into Williams; it is one of the 5 schools I really liked!
Stats (not really sure how this works…):
Ethnicity: Asian
SAT Scores: 2400 superscore in 2 sittings, 4 subject tests with scores of 760,770,780,790
Grades: School doesn’t do GPAs or rankings, but I get A+s and As.
Activities: Lit mag, newspaper, tutoring, cultural activities etc

Congrats to everyone else!
Envelope was post-marked 3/6.

I’ve only seen one Midwest person on here, so maybe there’s still hope? Hmm…

Out of curiosity: What other schools have you guys already been accepted to? Do any of you know you’re not going to Williams for sure?

I received an early write as well! I’ve also been selected as a Tyng Scholar! So incredibly honored!

@Adamgeek I’ve already been accepted to Yale through single-choice early action, and Vanderbilt with the full-tuition Cornelius Vanderbilt scholarship.

Those who received early writes, what does your admissions status say online?

My admissions status online still says the following:

Thank you, once again, for applying to Williams."

When do the rest of us hear officially?? :’)

The official notification date is April 1st.

Congrats if you got an early write!

I’m still waiting for news in the Northeast. I would be great if I got a letter, but I’m not even expecting to get in. :o

Any internationals here that have received a letter? (Europeans…?)

I got an Early Write letter in the mail today. Mail hadn’t been checked since Saturday so I don’t know when it came in, but I was definitely surprised. My mom left work early to bring it to me. I live in the United States Virgin Islands and we have the slowest of snail mails.

Does anybody know if early writes have been sent out yet this year? I have nervous jitters!
