<p>Seems like other schools have begun sending out their "early write" acceptances to obvious acceptances (end Feb/Mar 3).</p>
<p>I wonder if SLU does this? Has anyone heard anything? With a record number of applicants (an increase of 36%-40% depending where you read it) I imagine it's taking them a l-i-t-t-l-e b-i-t l-o-n-g-e-r to sift through all the applcation folders this year. </p>

<p>Well, the letter that we received from the Dean of Admissions this weekend with the most recent numbers indicated that decision letters will be coming out after 3/15. As an alumni, with a student applying to SLU, the University is giving us the chance to learn decisions on 3/15. Apparently, since this year is such an exceptional year for applications, they are softening the results for alumni. It looks like acceptances rate will be something like 41%</p>

We enjoy reading your updates about admissions this year -- and get a bit discouraged about my DS' chances. In fact, this year every "low profile" LAC gem is being inundated with applications! SLU is a perfect match for my S...just hope SLU thinks so too! Any new numbers on apps, minority apps, scholarship notifications, etc? Thanks again</p>
