Early write to Smith?

Has anyone received an early write to Smith this year (for high school class of 2017)? It looks like last year they came out this week. Thanks!

My D17 just got hers in the mail today! She’s very excited, Smith is one of her top choices. There was a handwritten note referencing her essay, so I guess they’re continuing that tradition.

@thermom Thanks for the quick response! Where do you live?

@smcirish we’re in NY and the letter was dated/postmarked 2/21

My daughter received a letter today as well. It also contained a handwritten note referencing her essay. She’s very excited and is looking forward to attending an admitted student day! We’re in NH if that helps.

My D received one as well today. Handwritten note regarding a special project.

Which state are you in? Thanks!

Wow super excited, I’m from NJ and got mine today!!! The postmark was also from 2/21 and there was a handwritten note about my essay. :))

NY, just got mine today with a note about my main essay.

Did anyone receive an early write who was not a potential STEM major?

I got an acceptance letter from Smith today! Like some others mentioned here it was dated 2/21 and referenced the essay I wrote. I’m from Maine and would likely be a history major if that information is useful.

I live in NH and I got an early acceptance letter today! I’m an intended math major. So happy!!

I got my acceptance today as well, I’m from MA. I’m a potential neuroscience major.

Got my acceptance today here in PA! I’m an intended sociology major.

Got my acceptance in MI! Poli-sci major and math minor, here.

Thanks for all of the responses, everyone! My D received her acceptance today (Chicago suburbs). It’s one of her top choices and there were lots of happy tears here today!

I just got mine and I’m an English major from GA!

My D recieved her acceptance today, also with a nice note about her main essay. We live in Tennessee.

AHHHHH I JUST GOT MINE I AM CRYING THIS IS AMAZING!!!
TX, English Major:)

I got mine in North Carolina today! Is this just a cool tradition of Smith, or is it sent to certain students for a particular reason?
