Early Writes & Regular Decision

Got one today too. My efc was like 22k and i didnt qualify for any aid. Is there anyway to appeal this? Bowdoin is my #1 choice at the moment...

Got one!

I like how the first words of the letter are "You're in!"

I got mine today too! I agree with Bobstin, I loved being told right away ;)

Oh never mind, I just checked the mail and I got in! :DD I 'm so happy ! I loooove Bowdoin! But it's so expensive!! I didn't get much FA :[[

And thank you for trying to make us feel better, that was very nice of you Duckey.

And ditto what he said to everyone else who's waiting!

I'm just bummed because Whitman College's Admitted Students Day and Scholarship interviews are the same exact weekend! I can only go to one. Nooooo!

I got one too! Pretty exciting. Yeah, I don't know about my financial aid because totally didn't get that Bowdoin doesn't receive things from IDOC, so I'm mailing that right away.

But what everyone else has been saying makes me a bit nervous.

I am "IN". Nice bumper sticker( or whatever you call the thing you stick on da car) too.

I got in! :D I am soo excited and I am totally going to Bowdoin Experience!

Oh, and I'll copy this from another thread....

Good luck to others! There's something great out there for everyone!

o gosh this is making me nervous, I haven't heard anything yet...
When are the rest of the RD decisions supposed to come out?

My son is also in but I think his packet was incomplete. There was no sticker nor was there any information about Bowdoin Experience. Can anyone tell me what the dates are for that?

I'm attending the Bowdoin Experience - it's April 16-20th, but it's only for a minorities I think...

my son didn't get those either-but the letter was nice.

smoda61-
congrats to your D!

And I also didn't get info on the Bowdoin Experience...but if its for minorities than that would explain it. I'm about 80% sure I'm going to Bowdoin and I hope I'll see you all on the Admitted Student Day!

**and I meant 2 sport athlete: soccer, indoor/outdoor track....any athletes out there?

D did not get anything except the acceptance letter, bookmark and reply envelope and card. I assumed that the Bowdoin experience thing everyone was talking about was just the admitted student days.

FTI, I called Bowdoin about a month ago to find out about the admitted student days "just in case". I was trying to put together a calendar of dates to keep in mind. The dates I wrote on the calendar were April 17, 20, and 24. Hopefully these are still the correct dates.

Sorry - not "athlete" in the sense you are meaning - dancer, alpine skier, and saltwater fisher (that is a sport :)). The other ec's are music related.

I am a minority and first generation, so I think those two groups were the ones to get the invite to the Bowdoin Experience.

I didn't get a sticker :[
But i thought they took IDOC....

There was a sticker!?! What does it look like?

Oh well, I'm getting a free shirt from Bowdoin so I guess I can't complain. :D

No free shirt :( (or sticker) but then again we bought a shirt the first time that we visited,

I'm pretty excited. I don't know if I'm going to be able to attend Bowdoin Experience, because I have something happening that weekend that happens once a year, and I don't know if I'm going to be going to Bowdoin yet. I still have a seven more schools I'm waiting to hear from. You think I should go ahead and reserve my spot and if I change my mind about Bowdoin call them and tell them I'm not coming?

I'm confused. Is the Bowdoin Experience limited to minority admits?
