Does anyone know if Bowdoin does Early Writes/Likely Letters?

I think I understand what you're asking... And yes, they let you know a little bit early if they know for sure. It's a cool tactic. A handful of people in my class got their acceptance packets early and they include a personalized letter with a handwritten note as well about your essay or something they really liked.

Wow--that must be really really nice! I really appreciate things like that.

me too! I hope I get one!!! It would be such a nice surprise and then I would be so much more relaxed about applying to college!

does anyone know how many people get early writes?

I received one several years ago. It came in early March.

Yes, they did early writes when I was accepted in 2004. It came a few weeks before my other notification letters, which was nice, and they did put a personalized line or two in the acceptance letter. I definitely appreciate little touches like that as well.

wow, that would be really nice!

I'm getting an early read for sports because I've been talking to one of the coaches, and he said that I'll pretty much know where I stand in 2 weeks. Don't know if this is the same thing though.

hmmmm interesting. It might be a different thing for athletes but I'm not sure.

bump.... i guess bowdoin won't send them out for a while since they have just finished all the ED II applications.

That would be wicked cool. I wish more schools would do that. I guess it gets harder if the Universities or Colleges are bigger
