I know it kind of sounds weird, but can you wear ear plugs during the SAT? I don't get horribly distracted by sound, but it makes me mad and I then end up losing concentration.

yeah, i was wondering abt that too. and i rly cant afford to get distracted coz i'm usually pressed for time.

why don't you take them with you to the test centre and ask the proctor if it's okay to use them?
although, in my case, earplugs would irritate me and i think i would do worse and not better.

true. it wud've been cool if music was allowed tho. or not.i dunno. haha.
well i have abt ten hours to go before i write that damn test. cant wait to get it over with. please pray i get a 700+ atleast on all 3 sections!

good luck spunkypundit!!

(why Boston in a years time??) is that where you want to go to college??

Oddly enough, I'm never pressed for time on tests. I pretty much finish all the practice sections in 2/3 the time needed or less. I spend the rest of the time checking it over.

well, its finally over! yeah, stuck-on-1700. u guessed right.

did anyone take earplugs with him/her??
did the proctor allow it???

I wore them, the proctor allowed it.

how did you know when the proctor called the time for each section?

I could see her get up and hear her a bit.
