The school to which I’ve applied require “official transcripts.” I’ve mentioned this to my counselor since I’m unsure whether or not a physical copy of my transcript must be sent to these schools. My counselor told me that this is handled through the Common Application. I just want to confirm that this is true. Also, I forgot to check in with my recommenders that my recommendations were sent. I have sent requests to their school-issued emails, and I have already asked for recommendations. I’ll confirm with them that my recommendations were sent, but if they weren’t, would this undermine my application? Thanks for any help you give.
Check the Common App under “My Colleges” for each of your schools. It will show whether the school transcripts and recommendations were received. Yes, your application would likely be undermined if a college requires recommendations and they were not sent.
