I really wanted to be a doctor and I was thinking.. what if I completed the PA (physician's assistant ) program first? instead of an undergraduate chem/bio/physics major.. Then I would have a back up plan too? Does anyone know how many PAs are accepted into medical schools? Wouldn't medical schools like PAs since they already proved that they would like to practice medicine?

Health science majors do substantially worse on the MCAT and med school admissions than other majors.

PA schools require you to have a bachelor’s degree and take the GRE.

It’s an absolutely awful idea.

wickedsunshine39 was referring to PA programs, some of which don’t require the GRE
