Easiest American Culture Requirement

im in revelle college and im trying to get my GEs done as fast as i can.

which class offered in the fall is the easiest class that meets the american culture requirement.. none of them really interests me sooo, might as well take the easiest one and get it over with.

heres the choices for fall quarter:

ANTH 23 (Anthropology 23)- Debating Multiculturalism, Race, Ethnicity, and Class in American Studies.

ETHN 1A (Ethnic Studies 1A) - Introduction to Ethnic Studies: Population Histories of the US

HILD 7A (History 7A) - Race & Ethnicity in the US

LIGN 7 (Linguistics/General 7) - Sign Language and its Culture

SOCI 1 (Sociology 1) - The Study of Society

USP 1 (Urban Studies and Planning 1) - History of US Urban Communities

what do u guys think?

My friends who are currently students in Revelle told me not to take Soc, and that Lign 7 is the easiest course

the requirement is only for 1 quarter right?

yess

10char

Yeah, the requirement’s based on a single (quarter-long) class. It’s one of my more embarrassing college stories – left it until the last quarter, decided to take LIGN 7, but by then senioritis had set in and I flunked it. Hello, extra quarter.

Moral of the story: Take something you might actually be interested in. For me, it wasn’t LIGN 7. But ANLD (now ANTH) 23 fixed the problem.

Hild 7A was super easy for me. I didn’t read any of the books my professor said to. It was basically American history. Just attend lecture and you’ll be fine. The most studying I did was 30 minutes on wikipedia right before the final and I got an A in the class.
