Since the practice exams are a bit challenging, for those who have taken the exam(s),** how closely does the Barron's MCs resemble that of the exam? **

If the Barron's MCs resemble the exam well, then I won't buy the practice exams because I'll be able to get the FRQ from CollegeBoard.

Please do say if it applies to none, one or both.

I am in AP Human Geo, and my teacher has been giving us practice books from Barron. It resembles former AP Human Geo tests. I thought Barron was pretty hard, lol. AP Human Geo is a newer course, so there isn't much information out there. I hoped I helped!

Haha I’m deciding whether to buy Rubenstein’s An Introduction to Human Geography Eighth Edition: The Cultural Landscape because I heard that the Barron’s was too easy.

But if I buy the study guide, it’s a whole $30!

I do recommend the Rubenstein’s book. I was talking about the Barron’s practice tests, I didn’t know they have a book. We have used the Rubenstein book like once. We use another book in class. The Barron is more of practice books, lol. I’m not going to buy it, since were using it in class. I got only 3 right out of 10, lol. Sometimes I get a lot more, lol. The Rubenstein book is just like the book your using in your classroom.

Although I have yet to take Barron’s full practice exams at the end of the review book, I usually quiz myself with the 15 multiple choice questions at the end of each chapter.

Pertaining to both Human Geography and Psychology, after reading over the chapter once, I usually get at least 12/15 correct.

I’ll have to see what I score on the exams at the end of the book.

^ Yea it is very challenging, but I guess I’ve always liked psychology. It’s cool to see how the mind works :)

Unfortunately I won’t be able to hear the results from you – I’ll be taking it at the same time as you =P. So let’s succeed (and not fail i.e. get a 5) together :D

Cool. Rubeinstein went to $20 now, so I guess it’s affordable. Does it have practice tests? Or does it provide many examples of things? Because it looks like I’ll need examples to back up things. Barron’s was considered “vague” by many so… yea.
