Easiest AP You've Taken?

Hello! I'm a sophomore at a pretty competitive public school in upstate NY. I'm taking four APs this year (English Lang, Chem, Psych, World), which is the most I'm allowed to take. In order, easiest to hardest, I'd rank them like this: Lang, World, Chem, Psych.

I'm kind of wondering why people consider Psych to be the easiest AP, although my teacher isn't motivated and seems to actually dislike the subject.

What AP has been most interesting for you? Easiest? Hardest?

I had to double check your list.

Easiest AP I have taken was AP Psych. It was straight forward to me and I understood all aspects if the course.

Hardest would be a toss up between Physics and Chemistry. They have their moments. I’m not saying those classes are unbearable, because they certainly are, but at times I just want to throw my pencil at the problem and yell, “Solve yourself!” (Along with some other strong phrases and such.)

Most interesting would be Calc BC. To be able to take a problem and break it down to a point where you have at least 80% more information that you originally had is pretty awesome. To be able to solve a problem three different ways and still get the answer is pretty freaking awesome. It’s the most abstract class I can get in high school.

Most interesting was AP Chem, but that’s my future major :D. Easiest is definitely AP Statistics this year. Hardest is AP Biology this year, because my TEACHer doesn’t teach… sigh…

The worst AP test I have taken was AP World, it was horrible @_@

APs I’ve had experience with so far:
APUSH, Stats, Bio
Next semester I take US Gov, Chem, and English Lit. I’m expecting Chem to be brutal.

Easiest: Bio, because I find it most interesting.
Hardest: Stats, because I find it less interesting. I thought I’d like it because I like other math, but no. Everyone says it’s supposed to be easier than calculus, but that’s definitely not been my experience.

Probably AP Biology. I’m not even a science/math-oriented person, it’s just I’m very good at memorization which is what every test was based on. Therefore I found it much easier than the more analytical APUSH or other humanity-based AP’s.

I enjoyed the labs and all the written assignments were very objective-based so I did well. I actually did better in AP Bio than I did in my non-AP, non-honors Chemistry I one class :P

AP Chemistry is so freaking hard, It makes me so angry every time I enter and leave that classroom. Every AP course in my school is difficult Even some of the “easy ones”. AP Psychology is full of work and the tests are killer. My friend in AP Environmental Science says that the test are on par with the AP Biology tests, and trust me, the AP Biology tests are hard. I was jumping for joy when I got an 88% on my Biochemistry test. The AP Biology teacher is really good and loves teaching it, so of course it’s going to be hard, but it’s really fun though. I’m in a love-hate relationship with my AP classes right now. I’m struggling to hold my A in AP Bio. :S

stats, lit/lang, USH in terms of material
bio in terms of class at my school

Yea psych was really easy lol. There’s a reason why it’s called the easiest ap

I thought the easiest was supposed to be human geography.
(Why don’t they have AP Philosophy? I would take that.)

Most Interesting?
Probably a tie between Human Geography and Chinese. I love the language and geography explored so many abstract concepts in sociology that just intrigued me. I really miss having social studies classes. I had to drop them to take two levels of Chinese, but I definitely felt it was worth it, especially considering I took 3x the amount of social studies than most of my class last year.

Easiest?
A tie between English Language, Human Geography, and Chinese. I really don’t feel like I’m doing work for these classes, minus English and the occasional human geography outlines I had to do when I took the class my sophomore year. I really don’t study for the tests and get 97%+ regardless of the class average (which at times would be quite low). I haven’t taken AP Chinese yet but I’m taking Chinese 4 (AP is just the next level so I have a general idea of the difficulty, just what I have now but a little bit more difficult) and it’s probably my easiest class next to health, mostly because I’m way beyond the rest of my class with the exception of this one senior in my class who also studies Chinese beyond what is required both inside and outside of class, so the class isn’t very tough for the both of us.

Hardest?
Probably World History, because of the workload required. I had about 45-70 minutes of homework per day for that class over the course of an entire year. I’m going to place Calculus AB as a runner up because the tests I have are very difficult, though I don’t have a serious amount of coursework. That said, I do study about an hour or two for each test just because my teacher gives some really tough problems, so test-wise it’s the most difficult by far (I still managed to keep a 95% test/quiz average this quarter up until yesterday when I messed up my intervals on a quiz…)

I’ve taken pretty brutal APs. I took Euro, Bio, and Spanish Lang last year, and I’m taking Chem and BC Calc this year. They’ve all been pretty difficult but in different ways. I wouldn’t be able to call a single one easy in any aspect.

Easiest: Calculus AB
Most Interesting: Calculus AB
Hardest: English Language and Composition
Odd, never got an A in a single English class until I took AP Lit…

Psychology is really, really easy. Granted, my teacher is extremely chill about everything, but I can’t imagine the class being difficult with even the hardest of teachers.

English Lang is also pretty easy.

I could sleep in my APUSH class and still pull over a 100% just because of our extra credit, though our tests prove that the subject does require some effort to do well. APUSH is pretty moderate in difficulty.

AP Physics B is by far my hardest AP class. Some topics are straightforward and fun. Others make you want to put a gun to your head. It can take a lot of effort to grasp onto certain concepts.

Easiest without a doubt was AP Chinese Language and Culture, since I’m fluent with Mandarin Chinese and my parents always told me Chinese folktales when I was little.

Not sure if this counts though.

Hardest has probably been AP Physics C. Though that’s because I had to self-study it. We don’t have the class at our school.

Most interesting so far has been AP US History. You would understand if you had my teacher.

I looove AP physics. It makes so much sense to me and I find it quite easy.

Psychology. The class and the test was a joke. World History sucked though.

For me (easiest to hardest): AP Chinese, AP CS A, APES, AP Bio, AP Calc BC, APUSH (the class was brutal but addicting and the actual test was easy in comparison), AP Lit, AP Mech, AP Chemistry

For me:

Easiest AP: U.S. Government

Hardest AP: Spanish

Easiest at my school is APES.

There is literally no way you don’t get an “A” in that class. I have gotten over 100% on every test.

of the ones I’ve taken
Calculus AB -> Psych -> Env Sci -> US Gov -> Eng Lang -> Physics B
It’s probably relative to your school though
