easiest eng comp 3 prof

who is it?

seriously, i can't write. i want an easy a with not much work. bad experience with hewitt.

Fallows, Rubinson.

chem 20a,
scurri or gelbart.

also is this class doable if ap chem was not offered at my hs?

Fallows is awesome!! I took him for eng comp 3, and then took eng comp 100W with him again. One of the coolest profs I've had at ucla.

stealth99 - SCERRI

he is ****ing awesome and if you're a girl you might get some action ;)

fallows is awesome how? as in, not much work and easy grading? what is the mean set to? a b-? a b?

oh ok thanks moldau, on bruinwalk he sounds like an arrogant prick...=D

how's the difficulty as long as i stay on top of things

steinberg sdafsadfsd

his tests are fair, he does some fun demos, and is the epitome of the pompous prof. Study an hour a night, or even half an hour (stick to the schedule) and the material will be a breeze, I earned a B for.. not studying much (bad bad freshman quarter--> 3.007, followed by a 2.8 winter quarter) I HATE BAUGH.

is there anything wrong with taking english comp 3 first quarter freshman year?

wowx - uhh.. no???

i just never got around to it.

deuces - didn't mind baugh cause i never went. benny was a douche too. not liking manashi chatterjee right now

I was in your class keke. Nothing hard, just three 7-9 page essays. Did you guys still watch videos for 100W?

If you read the papers you get from orientation, you will notice that taking English Composition is recommended for 1st years, and most people take it 1st or 2nd quarter.

Why are you taking the easy way out? You learn NOTHING with Fallows. The means is around A-.

benny was a douche too.

Dude he was eating dinner with some 20B girls the other day. Is he that desperate or are they just suckups?

Hi stealth99, what is the name of this thread? :) To answer your question, Gelbart is not a bad professor. You will learn about the same material; pick according to whichever time fits your schedule (Gelbart for morning, Scerri for afternoon).

taking the easy way out since i'll be taking che100 and che102a and hopefully 30al if it doesn't fill up again.

and.. i think he's desperate.

i mean, look at him. even i wouldn't touch him and i'm really easy.

Getting a good Eng3 professor would be hard though. You'll have tou se your priority on 30AL and Eng 3 (5 units). I don't know about the enrollment caps of your other two classes ..

I remember Fallows filling up in 2-3 hours when I signed up at orientation. Steinberg filled up in 30 minutes.

yeah im going for eng comp and 30al.

che classes never fill up anyways

if my first pass is july 2, what's the first orientaiton day?

Warning: Rubinson is a wolf in sheep's clothing. He was definately not concerned about student learning, and he grades pretty tough. Still, he at least gives everyone a B, so if you're fine with a B, he's fine.

Fallows is the best, I hear.

BoelterHall: I don't what you mean, how am I taking the easy way out?

There's nothing wrong with taking English Composition 3. Actually, I think it would be a good idea so that you can brush up on your reading and writing skills form high school, especially if you came from a bad high school. Not only that, but a lot of the North Campus classes usually have 1-2 papers on their syllabus. Classes designated with W require more papers. It's good to even it out if you're not completely confident about your abilities.

wowx:
Sorry, I pasted in the wrong quote. That was referring to Moldau's post.

haha, i love chatterjee. i owned that 30a final.. however... yeah, after the first midterm i stopped going to baugh's lecture, benny's quite the character.

I took ENG comp 3 first quarter with creese, easy class based on romantic/screwball comedy, basically movie 1/2 the time. Easy grading got an A-.

If anyone is taking Fallows, I'm selling the reader. Just verify that it's the same reader required.
