easiest ivy to get in to?

based on percentage accepted, reputation, type of students rejected

don't bash my thread! im just curious

either cornell or dartmouth.

I think it's Cornell ED.

Dartmouth? Uhhhhhh no.

cornell is HUGE. that's why i think they have a higher acceptance rate...not necessarily b/c it's easier, it just has more spots. correct me if i'm wrong...

The actual number of freshman spots is highest at Cornell due to BOTH it's larger size and higher acceptance rate than the other Ivies.

FWIW, which isn't much, remember people, the Ivies are a sports league.

According to most websites this is how it looks-->

Easiest-->Cornell, U Penn, Dartmouth, Columbia=Brown, Yale, Princeton=Harvard<--Hardest

I know Cornell and Upenn have really high admissions rates for Early Decision, as does Columbia I think.

I would say Brown and Columbia are close. I think Brown might be a bit harder, because it gets so many applicants every year. The most out of all ivy leagues. And Brown also takes the least amount of applicants early decision.

And then Yale, Princeton, and Harvard are all pretty much an equal crapshoot.

But then again, I've heard of a kid getting rejected from Brown, but accepted to Harvard.

HYP are the hardest to get into because they have the largest applicant pools, not necessarily because they're the most selective. just thought i'd throw that out there.

guys.. you guys are so smart, but you haven't figured out the answer yet..

Poison ivy is the easist ivies to catch.

Rofl I loved that response ^

^lol.

penn nursing has an over 40% acceptance rate. so if you're really just looking for the ivy title, apply there=)

lol if Cornell is the easiest, what are the requirements to get into it, that's more important than easy or not to be accepted :D

In terms of acceptance rate: 2008

Harvard (7.1%)

Yale (8.6%)

Princeton (9%)

Columbia (10.1%)

Dartmouth (13.2%)

Brown (13.4%)

Penn (16.4%)

Cornell (21.5%)

Don't base it on percentages. Yale, for example might see something in you that Cornell does not. It's a crapshoot.

There are ton of students that apply to Harvard just for the hell of it since its a brand name school or their parents may have pressured them to apply because "you never know what can happen..."
