<p>I think they're doing it for elementary school students in general. My 2 4th grade sisters at the secondary school just started taking classes too. </p>

<p>In my country one starts recieving English in kindergarten, at least in all the private schools. Then in 6th grade one starts French, and one must continue French upto 9th grade, where all students must take a national standardized french test. Afterwards students can continue French if they wish or drop it and replace it with another language ( I chose German instead).</p>
