Which one would that be? I know no engineering is really easy but I want to know which one doesn't require you to study over 40/50 hours a week.

Why? Do you think that this is the best way to choose a career? If you want easy, what makes you think that ANY engineering is the best choice?

Impossible to answer. People have different strengths and weaknesses, and different schools’ programs differ in difficulty. They are all among the majors with the most challenging work loads in college.

It will depend on your strengths and weaknesses, but generally I think it’s Civil Engineering. But by no means is Civil Engineering easy.

The correct answer was “materials science & engineering”. Good guesses, though.

No no no! Clearly the correct answer is any ice cream not covered in homemade hot fudge!

Depends on your courseload and how quickly you can pick up the concepts. Really every engineering can take up more than 50 hours a week, but every engineering could also be much less if your a fast learner or your courseload is relatively easy. I’m in Idustrial and Systems and I get about 30 hours of homework each week, not counting the additional studying that I need to do on top of that.

Probably mechanical, electrical, or chemical. Anything other than civil really takes no thought or work outside of sitting through a lecture every once in awhile.

Always the one you are not taking :)

Any course of study is easy if you never go to class, never do homework assignments, never take tests, etc. Good luck trying to convince someone to hire you …

Fish smelling!!! You just got to have a nose for it.

Civil is easiest

Electrical is hardest

lol, I’ve talked to people about this. If you are looking for an easy major, for God’s sake, don’t choose engineering. Everyone I have talked to, and all the research that I have done on engineering basically all conclude that engineering is the one of the hardest majors that you can take up. If you want an easy major, then take up communications. However, college is tough and I’ve found that all of the “easy majors” don’t pay much.

Some majors are harder than others but if you’re willing to put in 50 hours a week you’ll be fine in whatever, so long as you have some aptitude for it.

Industrial Engineering?
