<p>It doesn't matter aside from the pre-med/ not pre-med distinction. It is for statistics purposes. </p>
<p>And before you ask, neither pre-med nor liberal arts is easier by default. It depends on grades in subject areas, demonstrated interest, and recs.</p>
<p>comp sci; its a very small dept. so if you have good credentials theyll want you. i got in for compsci and now look at me im in the sfs :)</p>

<p>good point; i should say i got in with compsci as my intended major, and im not sure if admissions factored this in to my acceptance or not, but i think it played some role</p>
