Easiest majors?!!!

Just wanted to know if you could give ur opinion on what are the easiest majors to major in at UCSB.

It really depends on your strengths, weaknesses, professors, ect. No one can really tell you the answer you want. Why do you want to know?

Basically it would be the one you had a passion for and a strength in the subject so the work wasn’t hard to you and it always (okay well realistically almost always) felt enjoyable. Being a theater major or an economics major would be torture for me- to some, it would be the easiest.

Are you looking for an easy major to get into the university? No such thing since all UC majors can be competitive. If you are looking for an “easy” major based on interests then the above posters have answered the question.

@Gumbymom i already got accepted. just wanted to know some majors that are considered easier to handle at ucsb. and yes i am aware that any major is not considered “easy.” But, some are definitely easier to manage than others.

Into which major were you accepted? What are your interests as stated by post #2 since having little interest in a subject would make that major difficult.

@Gumbymom I got accepted as undeclared! Im really not interested in anything hahah. I guess I’ll find my own path eventually once school starts!

That is what GE’s are for, so you can explore different areas of interest and hopefully find something to be passionate about in the end.

It has been many many moons since I attended UCSB but back then Sociology, Communications and Psych were relatively easy majors in that they didn’t have a lot of courses required to complete them. That said, I was a Bio major and some of the Psychology classes I took for GEs seemed a little odd to me. It was a different way of thinking than what I was used to.

I’ll echo the comments above and say that it really depends on what you find interesting. Go Gauchos!

@lkg4answers thanks! Will look into those majors! Actually taking and intro to psych class that quarter. Hope it goes well.
