Just curious to hear from current/past students.

Nothing is quick-everything is going to take you 4 years unless if you have a tons of AP credits. As far as easy goes, I would think that each major is difficult in its own way, and of course thats a bit subjective. What you find hard, I might find easy, or vice versa.
I bet undeclared is easy haha

From general googling, I’ve read that Economics or any major in Social Sciences are less demanding than those of Physical Sciences, Engineering, ICS, etc.

Psychology, anything with SOCIAL in it (social ecology, sociology, etc.)

Anthropology is lightning fast. The requirements are 12 courses (48 units).

Anthropology 2A.
Anthropology 2B, 2C, or 2D.
Anthropology 30A or 30B.
Three topical courses (12 units) from Anthropology 120-159, 170-179).
Two courses (eight units) on a geographical area, from Anthropology 160-169.
Four additional elective courses (16 units) from Anthropology 30A, 30B, 40-179, 180A.

Also note that even if your major is quick, you still need 180 units to graduate. You can always just take BS classes/transferable courses at community college for the units though. They make it so it’s a bit difficult to graduate early.
I would think that majors in the Social Sciences would be easy. I feel like a lot of people change into that after giving up on bio and such

sociology is as close to an easy major as there is.

if i did it over, i could easily see myself choosing soc and getting close to a 4.0 GPA.

Any Social science majors, i suppose. If you dont mind the reading textbooks more often than ussually and writing papers, social scienes would be cake for you.

uhm im a soc major and it is NOT easy. its work. its subjective really, if youre interested, itll be easier on you, if not, youll go through hell. yeah i like soc, but sometimes theres stuff i dont understand and not everyone does well, so its up to what you like and see yourself succeeding in!

Why does this even matter? I mean, in the end, whatever you’re good at should be easiest, and two, most of the “easy” majors don’t really count for much. I mean, what really are you going to do with a Humanities major or Hispanic Studies major. I’m currently a math major, and to me, that’s easier than anything out there, but yeah, too much personal opinion and not enough relevance.

Wow, you guys are pretty much insulting those with Social Science or Humanities majors. Just study whatever youre interested in, or good at. It doesn’t make sense to study something you dont like. Also, your major doesn’t necessarily limit your career paths. My sis was an Asian American Studies major and found a job as an office manager in UCLA.

How are we insulting those majors? Just because we say its “easy” does not mean its “bad” or degrading in any way. ULTIMATELY, it depends on what subjects the person are good at.

That said, generally, I say that the social science majors are “easier” because many people fall back into those majors if they struggle in another, and many of my friends tell me it is easy anyway.

It is true, undergrad majors do not limit our career paths; but this mostly applies to people who are planning to go to GRAD school, since it will be the MS that matters. If you’re just going for a BA/BS, then undergrad major matters for sure.
