Easiest SAT Ever?

Okay, this is only the second time that I wrote the SAT. But compared to December 2009, I thought all the sections (with the exception of CR) was incredibly easy. Like writing was a joke, I spent a lot of time second guessing myself because it seemed TOO EASY. Math was pretty good too, I just made a few careless mistakes, and I also had an experimental section: (I had math experimental. I think it was the one with 4 squares, with 1 being divided equally each time. The answer I got was 1/32. Some other weird questions in there like n^4, what is the value of n, and some question involving some Canadian provinces and syrup I think. I really, really hope this was experimental, or I'm screwed. It was 25 minutes, and 20 questions, and it was one of four math sections that I had.) Can anyone confirm not having these questions?

So a couple of questions. One, for more experienced test takers, relatively how easy was this test? And two, is an easier test really that beneficial (with regards to the curve)?

This is my fourth or fifth SAT and I thought it was the easiest out of all of them, although I can’t say whether that’s from studying or just from the test being easier.
I actually thought that the CR was way too easy and that the writing was a little trickier.

December’s writing was easier, in my opinion. Math was a bit harder this time around.

CR was definitely easier. The passages actually addressed issues and topics I was interested in!

My first one. Math/CR felt relatively easy, Writing was a bit harder for me.

I was plagued by my first-timers inexperience though

It was a lot easier than I had anticipated.

first time: CR and math were both easy (i was a little stumped by several sc…) writing… i thought was hard…

I am going to have to be honest though. This exam was easier than any other test I’ve seen.

Wow, well I looked at all the writing rules in the car ride to the center, but I found it really easy, or maybe I was just totally wrong LOL. My practice was limited, and vocabulary was bad, and this cost me big time. I think I’m going to do even worse than my 600 CR on the last test :(.

Why so? Just by chance or January tests are usually easier?

It was easy. Not as easy as May 2009, but definitely easy.

^ lolwhat? I took the May '09 test and thought it was much harder.

Then again, I was sick that day, so my opinion is probably skewed…

I’m considering signing up for March right now

I’m signing up for march.

Even though there is a possibility that I might have scored 700 on reading and 740-750+ on writing, I’m projecting only a 670 on my best section, math, the section I usually score 750-800 on practice tests. The irony is that it was the easiest section and I made mistakes because I was just simply overwhelmed by the section.

I’m predicting around a 2320 (800C/780M/740W), I’m like 75% sure I made a moronic mistake on the Math, so I’m looking to secure the 800M on a retake as well as improve my Writing score.

lol, is the curve predetermined? Because if it isn’t, and someone responsible for making the curve wanders on to CC… we’re screwed lol. Maybe they don’t realize how easy the test was :P.

I thought it was relatively easy…except for the fact that the administrator was apparently using her watch as the guide, rather than the clock in the room which was off by ten minutes, so I ended up without a third body paragraph or conclusion for my essay… :(

^That’s what I was wondering: If the curves are predetermined, and the easiness of the test is underestimated by the ETS or whatever, does it just mean that there will be more high scores?

Yes, the curve is predetermined. Standardization is a process which occurs far before the test date since the College Board must first administer sections of the test to a selective sample of individuals to provide a general gauge of its general difficulty.

where can one find these individuals :).
