never took any because of AP credit, but i’m pretty sure PAM is the easiest

stats (Math 1710)-average grade:B+
AEM stats (AEM 2100)-average grade:B
ILRST stats (ILR 2100)-average grade:A-
PAM stats (PAM 2100)-average grade:B+

Where do you find the average grades?

http://registrar.sas.cornell.edu/Grades/MedianGradeFA10.pdf and you can go back according to semester and year (where there’s FA10 you could put SP10 for spring 2010, etc)

median =/= average

i dont think anyone can say the easiest (no one has taken all 4 stats classes), but I took PAM stats and it was REALLY easy. Median was a B+ but in previous years it was an A-. DO your problemsets and will get an A and if ur on top ur stuff u will get an A+

I don’t know anything of Math 1710, but all the others are supposedly pretty easy from what I’ve heard, especially since those classes are offered in departments where many of the students generally avoid math. This is the least true for AEM, but I’ve heard that’s pretty easy too. Math 1710 might be harder if simply because my guess is it attracts Math majors who are going to be stronger and thus impact the level at which it’s taught and the curve on exams.

SOC stats (I think it’s SOC 3010) with Prof Brashears was a breeze. You can even skip the final if you do well enough on the prelims, which is pretty easy with the “cheat sheet” he lets you bring.

They’re all ridiculously easy. Math 171 was an easy A+ for me.

I agree with @norcalguy. Take the class that fulfills the most requirements (usually a class in your own college), or which has the best professors, or which meets at your most preferred timing.

Or you can do what I did and take the Econ 3190/3200 sequence (Intro to Stats and Probability/Intro Econometrics) which is anything but easy, but definitely worthwhile.
