Easiest test?

I know there's probably not a test that's easy for everyone, but there's gotta be one that's easier to study for and do better on than the others. What would you say is/are the easiest subject test(s) in terms of self-studying?

US History is very manageable or obviously math (assuming you’ve reached the appropriate level already)

^US History?! Are you serious? I think thats one of the hardest.

The ‘easiest’ tests I guess are yeah probably MathII, if youre at that level, and the SAT Mandarin for the Chinese, which I think is really cheap. I know someone who scored an 800 on Chinese but she is one of the least hardworking, naturally dumb people I know. It makes everyone mad.

Chinese is easy? Was she chinese? I’m completely white and have no asian in me at all, so I think thats a no go.

Well, I’m in precal this year, would that be Math II level? And why doesn’t anyone take Math I?

Yes I am serious. I had almost no previous knowledge of US History and with minimal review received a 740 in May (and I do not have a special aptitude for history). Additionally, the curve for the uppermost scores in history are extremely generous (you can miss 8-9 and still get an 800).

Well, you are one of the gifted ones Charlie Brown, I share the sentiments that it is one of the most difficult :)

Personally I feel math is the easiest, as long as you’ve had precalculus (or even knowledge of algebra II is sufficient, I feel). The curve is great, and many of the questions are solvable for anyone who is just willing to sit down and pick the question apart.

Anything with memorizing like History or Biology has always been easy for me. Understanding concepts like in Chem is very difficult. I’m not sure why I get math, but chem is way harder… lol

People always say Math is the easiest one, but if you think about it, aren’t most of the people here extremely smart math wiz’s?

I agree that math is the easiest if you are really good at math and have reached the necessary level in school. But other than math, and as far as tests go that are more knowledge based, I stand by my assertion that history is fairly easy to self study. It is simply a matter of understanding very basic trends and remembering facts which are fairly obvious since our whole modern society is based around (i.e. amendments of the Constitution, checks and balances, wars, etc.)

I think my problem with history (and perhaps being in an IB USH class is the reason) was that I am very good with remembering the big picture, reasons, trends, and main ideas. Facts are what trip me up; the questions I got wrong were most certainly the ones about specific people and quotes, the books as well.

Yeah, but sometimes those big pictures and trends help a ton with making logical guesses about the facts.

My whole math career I’ve been a B student, including precal which I’m finishing in the next week. Should I take math II?

And can anyone answer why no one takes math I? It just sounds easier…

Most colleges don’t really consider Math 1.

Math 1 is almost extinct. lol

This is the stupidest question ever… it’s completely subjective!

I personally wouldn’t get more than a 700 on math II or most science exams… but I’d be surprised not to get an 800 on US history.

What’s easy for you might not be easy for me. There is no ‘easiest test’.

^^ Thank you for basically reiterating what I said in the first post. Your reading skills are impeccable.

USH, assuming you’ve taken APUSH. Otherwise I think it’d be pretty hard.

The Lit test is probably the only test that requires almost no self-study or preparation. That said, it is a difficult test - you have to be skilled at analyzing literature already. So if you like to read and do it a lot, and you’ve done your fair share of literary analysis in your English classes, I think Lit would be a good test for you to take.

Bio is 99% memorization, and the facts you have to memorize are very simple. You could learn them without ever having had bio. However, you do need to put some time into memorizing them.

World History, I’ve heard, also isn’t too hard because it covers such too huge a scope of time to be detailed.
