Can someone please list them in order from easiest to hardest to get into?(just ur opinion or what u've heard abt)

New York University (Stern)
UM-Ann Arbor (preferred admission to Ross School of Business)
University of Virginia (McIntire)
Emory University (GA) (Goizueta)
Carnegie Mellon University (PA)
Boston College (Carroll)

sorry if its not clear, but i will be applying to their business program, finance to be specific..thanks in advance!!

UVa, NYU, and UofM are all pretty tight when it comes to admission %. They are around the same. One isn't going to be a lot easier to get into than another.

so if i want to major in finance and go into ibanking in the future? which school would u suggest me in going? how hard is it getting in CMU?i seem to be interested in that school

Out of all of those I'd rather go to UofM, then it's a tie with NYU and UVa. If you didn't care about college life and only about the academics and getting into I-Banking, then I would choose NYU. The internships at NYU are easier to obtain because of it's location. Makes everything easier from there.

There all pretty similar: They're ridiculously hard to get into. The only think I know is that Ross is harder than Stern. I think they all have acceptance rates of around 10%. Basically apply to the BSchool that you feel is the best fit for you because not only are they essentially equally hard to get into but they will all offer you the same caliber of education.

Wouldn't the overall student quality be better at Emory and CMU? I visited Michigan not long ago, and some of the student body just didn't seem like they were there to learn.

Don't make this so hard for yourself.
Tell me, what do you expect your college "life" to be like? Do you enjoy a nightlife? Greek life? Small LAC that doesn't have many parties and aren't focused on getting messed up?
Intellectual atmosphere? Sports-like atmosphere?
Small city, big city?
What do YOU want in your college.
Then, from there we can tell you where you should apply ED.

wow..thats by far the best question i've heard of..really concise and sharp, which made it hard to answer.considering that im an intl applicant, it is pretty hard for me to understand college life in US.i'd want to focus mainly on intellectual and night life, sports isnt that big of a decision for me. but the thing is i dont think i would be competitve enoughright now for some skus, so i would like to know which of the 3 skus, nyu, cmu, and emory would be somewhat easier to get in. then i could still have a chance to "succeed" if i work hard in college...thanks for ur opinion!

Ok.
Emory would be easier to get into, but it's a small LAC.
CMU is a great college and it's a little easier to get into than NYU.
NYU has the nightlife and whatnot, along with easier internship opportunities because of it's location. Also, NYU has A LOT of international applicants, which can be a good thing for you.
Looks like you'll be applying ED to NYU.
