I'm from Minnesota and I am going to Madison next year, but I am wondering exactly how good of reputation/alumni connections UW has on the east coast. I like the Midwest, but I don't really want to stay here my entire life. How helpful would a Madison degree be if I wanted to get a job in a place like Boston or Philly? I'm pretty set on going to UW next year so that's almost a for sure thing, but I'm just curious about this. I know it supposedly has a pretty decent rep out there.

BTW, I'm planning on double majoring in Finance and Real Estate.

Networking- major alumni clubs all over the country since people come from all over is an advantage. You could check out the alumni page on the UW website for more info.

There is a large and active UW club in NYC. A fair number of RE grads also work there and the RE Club is very well established with meeting in each major city. I got my MS in RE Finance ane found it a great industry and the UW RE degree is very respected.
The Dean recently just approved more RE faculty and a new program
